Mrs Sarah Vokes is an approved CLEARWAX ear wax removal specialist in Carlton, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire who has been ENT-trained to perform endoscopic ear wax removal, including E-suction™, to safely clean and clear your blocked ear. Unlike ear syringing and irrigation which attempts to flush out ear wax blindly by pumping water in your ear, E-suction™ gently vacuums ear wax out of the ear under direct vision using our specially developed iCLEARscope™ endoscope. This method of visualising the ear wax with an endoscope whilst removing it was clinically found to be quicker, more comfortable and easier to perform compared to an operating microscope commonly used for microsuction.

MY BIOGRAPHY

When I was teenager I had meningitis which left me with a one sided hearing loss so I fully understand the complexities arising from hearing issues. This was also a great influence on my choice to go into Audiology. I studied at Nottingham School of Audiology where I was awarded a BAAT and went on to work within the NHS where I built up a number of other disciplines including tinnitus care and paediatric testing. ‘Correct Hearing’ was established in 2009 as after working for both the NHS and a large national company I felt that I wanted to create a more relaxed and bespoke service for people with a hearing loss. Alongside the business I have a very busy home life as I am married to Ian (who works here as our Accounts Manager) with 5 boys – two of which which we foster. When not working most of my time is taken up with music as the children are involved with various orchestras – I have a keen interest in music myself and have recently taken my GCSE music exam!
